By Onozure Dania Lagos—A prosecution witness, Izuchukwu Ezeuko, in the ongoing trial of suspected kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, yesterday narrated how he travelled to the eastern part of the country to pay a one million dollars ransom to the alleged kidnappers of his employer. Ezeuko, a manager in the victim, Mr. James Uduji’s firm, made the revelation while giving evidence before an Igbosere High Court in Lagos. who is the fifth witness in the trial, said he agreed to travel from Lagos to the east to drop the ransom to save his boss’ life. Evans is currently facing two separate charges of conspiracy to kidnap, kidnapping and attempted murder, before Justice Adedayo Akintoye. In the first charge, Evans is standing trial alongside Joseph Emeka, Ugochukwu Nwachukwu and Victor Aduba. In the second, he is standing trial alongside Joseph Emeka, Linus Okpara and Victor Aduba.
